Asbestos roof &
cladding remediation
An ageing body corporate envelope with asbestos-containing roof and cladding — safely removed and fully reinstated, then the whole exterior repainted, in one managed programme.
New North Road, Auckland
The brief
An ageing body corporate building had asbestos-containing roof and cladding at end of life. The whole envelope needed safe removal and full reinstatement, brought back to standard without splitting the work across competing trades.
We folded roof, cladding and repaint into a single managed programme with the asbestos handled in-house.
What we found
The roof and cladding both contained asbestos, so safe class-B-managed removal had to come before any reinstatement, with the controlled records that go with it.
From there the building took a new cladding system, new steel roofing and a complete exterior repaint, detailed for weathertightness throughout.
How Super Group ran it
One owner, every trade, through to sign-off
Managed the asbestos
Asbestos roof and cladding were safely removed and class-B managed, with full containment and the controlled records that go with it.
Re-clad the envelope
A new cladding system was installed across the building, detailed at junctions and flashings to keep water out.
Re-roofed
New steel roofing and flashings replaced the asbestos roof, completing the weathertight envelope.
Repainted & closed out
A full exterior repaint brought the whole envelope back to standard and the programme was handed back documented.
The outcome
The whole envelope, back to standard in one managed programme.
Roof, cladding and repaint were delivered as a single programme with asbestos handled in-house — end-to-end envelope remediation at body-corporate scale.
Asbestos was safely removed and class-B managed; residual ACM handling is documented. We do not claim a building is fully asbestos-free.
